This series aims for XOVERLAND to take the all-new 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter and PUT IT TO WORK!

Trailhunter was specifically designed for overlanders ‘to go far’ and the purpose of vehicle travel.

XOVERLAND has filmed and produced global overland travel documentary series for over 14 years. Since XO’s inception, Toyota vehicles and, more specifically, the Tacoma platform have been part of these expeditions.

So why put it to work? Because with an all-new platform, we must understand its capabilities when it comes to overland expeditions and determine if it is “expedition ready!”

Through this series, we will put ourselves and the vehicle through a series of specifically designed tests, hoping to share with the world how incredible this new platform is.

Everything’s New, All at Once

The all-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter has arrived at the XOVERLAND hangar! In part 1 of this 6-part series, Clay teams up with lead engineer Sheldon Brown to test the Trailhunter’s off-road tech on the XOVERLAND Ranch course—this is just the beginning.

It’s All About Balance

The team outfits the Trailhunter with accessories, testing weight and balance in a wild new overland + water concept—because you never know when your truck needs to float.

Mas Power Por Favor

Clay and Rachelle put the hybrid Trailhunter’s power to the test in a dune scavenger hunt, while exploring how its onboard tech boosts overland livability.
Episode 4

Go Slow Go Far

Clay sends his sons into the mountains to test the Trailhunter on technical trails, proving that capability means nothing without solid off-road skills.
Episode 5

The Sky’s Unlimited

Clay and the crew scout a remote airstrip campsite for bush pilot Bobby—because when your friends fly in, you find a way to camp together.
